The Muktinath Darshan Temple is situated in the western part of Pokhara, Nepal’s Lower Mustang region. It has an altitude of 3765 meters and is located at the bottom of the Thorong La pass (5410 meters), which is one of the most popular trekking destinations in the Annapurna Himalaya region of Nepal. This temple is considered to be the 105th among the available 108 Divya Desam. Muktinath-Chumming Gyatsa is a sacred place for both Hindu and Tibetan Buddhists at Muktinath.

In Hinduism, the place of liberation, or Moksha, is called Muktikshetra. It is also one of the 51 Shakti peethams.

Muktinath Darshan Temple is not only a pilgrimage site but also a hub for adventure enthusiasts. It serves as a gateway for Upper Mustang/Annapurna Round treks, mountain peak climbing, and Tilicho Lake exploration.

Our package includes two options for reaching Muktinath. The first option is to drive or fly to Pokhara and spend the night there. The next day, you will fly to Jomsom and either walk or take a jeep to reach Muktinath. The second option is to drive via jeep or bus, but this will require additional days. Please let us know which option you prefer, so we can plan accordingly.

If you have limited time and need to reach Kathmandu or Pokhara quickly, you can take a helicopter to Muktinath and then fly to your destination. We can make all the necessary arrangements for you based on your schedule and preferences. Whether you prefer a morning or evening flight, we can make it happen. Daytime flights are also possible.

Detailed Itinenary

We will pick you up at the international airport in Kathmandu, drive to our hotel check-in room, relax, take a shower, be fresh, and take a free walk around the hotel or dinner overnight in Kathmandu.

Early morning drive to Manakamana Temple and stop, which can be visited by cable car; it is a 1,302-meter hill. The deity is one of the manifestations of the Hindu goddess Bhagwati, who is believed to have the power to fulfill wishes. It is one of the most popular pilgrimage sites in Nepal. You will be arriving late in the afternoon at Pokhara.Overnight, Pokhara,

early morning flight to Jomsom, and then walking for about 15-20 minutes to reach the Jeep Station. From there, you can take a local sharing Jeep to Muktinath, which should take around 1.30 hours along the Kaligandaki river. Once you reach Muktinath, you can take a holy bath in Kunda, visit 108 waterspouts, and worship at Muktinath temple. After that, you can have lunch at a nearby hotel and drive back to Jomsom. You can spend the night in Jomsom.

This morning, you will fly back to Pokhara, be picked up from the airport, and be transferred to the hotel. After breakfast, proceed to Pokhara city sightseeing places to visit, like:

Barahi Temple: The Barahi temple is the most important monument in Pokhara. Built almost in the center of Phewa Lake, this two-story pagoda is dedicated to the boar manifestation of’ Ajima, the protester’s deity representing the female force Shakti. Devotees can be seen, especially on Saturdays, carrying male animals and fowl across the lake to be sacrificed to the deity
Gupteswar Cave: Another cave famous for its religious importance is located at the southern end of the city, Chorepatan. This cave is a sacred and natural cave; there is the temple of Lord Shiva.In evening leisure, overnight stay at hotel.

You will start your day with breakfast in the early morning. After that, you will drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu in a private vehicle. The journey takes approximately six hours. During the drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu, you will get to enjoy the magnificent mountain views, lush green scenery, rice terrace fields, vegetable fields, and people engaged in their daily life activities. From Naubishe, you will climb up to Thankot, the gateway to the capital city.

Once you arrive in Kathmandu, you will check in and have the option to relax or go for an optional visit within walking distance. You will stay overnight in Kathmandu and depart the next day.
